The Role of Phytohormones in Slowing Down Skin Aging and Glycation: The Arkana Woman Definition Approach

This lecture explores the mechanisms of hormonal aging and practical solutions. We will take an in-depth look at the Arkana Woman Definition line—an innovative approach to skincare for women experiencing hormonal changes, designed to combat glycation, restore skin density, and counteract the effects of estrogen deficiency.

  • Effects of Estrogen Deficiency: What happens to the skin when endogenous estrogen levels decline (rapid collagen loss, skin thinning, dryness, atrophy, and accelerated glycation).
  • Topical Phytohormone Therapy: Woman Definition acts as an external phytohormonal/phytoestrogen and botanical therapy that mimics beneficial physiological processes, helping the skin adapt to internal estrogen loss.

Estrogen Deficiency, Inflammaging, and Skin Aging: PDRN Potential in Regenerative Aesthetic Medicine

Declining estrogen levels trigger a cascade of metabolic, vascular, and inflammatory changes that directly affect skin condition and accelerate aging. Chronic low-grade inflammation (inflammaging) is considered a key driver of cellular aging. Under estrogen-deficient conditions, fibroblast activity drops, collagen and extracellular matrix synthesis decrease, and tissue regeneration suffers. PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotides) offers significant potential in regenerative therapy due to its ability to stimulate tissue repair and modulate inflammatory responses. This lecture covers two main application strategies for PDRN in aesthetic medicine: topical administration and injection techniques, along with their placement in comprehensive anti-aging treatment protocols.

Bioidentical Hormones and Personalized Medicine: Customized Compounding for Health, Longevity, and Skin Quality

A personalized approach to restoring hormonal balance based on diagnostic lab results and individual patient needs.
  • Hormones and Skin Aging: Alexander Cornelius provides an overview of essential hormonal mechanisms influencing skin structure and regeneration, highlighting key insights every aesthetic physician should master.
  • Compounding Bioidentical Hormones: Dr. Johanna S. Blees details the preparation and manufacturing of customized prescription hormone formulations. The session examines transdermal gels, creams, capsules, and the application of bioidentical components in dermatology and personalized cosmeceuticals.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Emphasizes the importance of close collaboration between clinicians, diagnostic laboratories, and compounding pharmacies to optimize patient outcomes.
